The computer lab is open!

Thanks to the generosity of the ROUND SQUARE TEAM, pupils at the St Camillus Primary School in Mandela Village have access to a new Computer Centre!

280 learners and 20 teachers  were introduced to the basics of Microsoft Exel, Word, Power Point, Paint, Photobooth, iMovie, keyboarding, mouse and iPad skills during May 2014.  The computers were donated to the school to enable the teachers and pupils to continue to hone their skills.

Lisa Gustinelli from St Andrews School in Florida manages a philanthropic organisation that started four years ago called Madagascar in My Heart
She collects used laptop computers, then installs them in villages in Madagascar to empower children through education. The St Camillus project is the first she has brought to South Africa.
Frank Nigara is her father. He passed away 15 years ago but his memory lives on in these projects.  Lisa says “I honor him because it was he who instilled in me a love for those less fortunate, specifically children.”
